thumbs-upA delightful wristwatch, and at 26mm perfect for women’s wrists during this time when truly interesting watches tend to be above 38mm and thus more fitting for men’s wrists.

Its sleek and minimalist aesthetic makes it a versatile accessory that can effortlessly complement any style, and its history of being a copy of Switzerland’s railway clocks, with the second hand resembling a railway red paddle signal, adds to the mystique.

It has an easy-to-read dial, a quartz movement and sapphire crystal making superbly reliable.

thumbs-downThe Evo2 could have lived up to its history if it would just continue to emulate the original mechanical Mondaine wristwatches, which followed the 58-second sweep and two-second pause at noon of the official Swiss railway clocks. The line released in 2011 called the Stop2Go did exactly that, but unfortunately, Mondaine discontinued both the line and the function. Perhaps it was not possible with a quartz movement, but a pity nevertheless.
